About me

Chef Chastity Hopkins.

Chastity’s love for cooking began as a desire to cook for her family and to bring people together. Her fondest childhood memories are prepping for family dinners for Thanksgiving with her mom and grandmother, both of whom first taught her how to make a rue, roast a chicken, and bake pies and cakes. Chastity has been trained formally at the Culinary Institute of America in New York where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts Management. Chastity has worked in the culinary and hospitality industry for over 8 years from her humble start as a Five Guys Cook to a waiter at a five-star restaurant to working as a sous chef at a Michelin Star restaurant. Chastity has experience in all levels of dining and service and that experience has shaped her work and greatly benefits her as she embarks on her own executive chef journey at Chef Chastity’s.

For Chastity cooking is a passion and a dream realized and every meal she makes is with that same love and devotion from her childhood and she brings that to every kitchen she cooks in. Chastity is humble, kind, articulate, and attentive, any meal she prepares, caters or events she manages will be executed with the highest level of professionalism and care.

Chastity is a Raleigh-Durham native and is extremely family oriented. She is a mother to Jocelyn Hopkins, who has proudly claimed the position as her mothers sous-chef. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, Yogi, hosting dinner parties and wine tastings along with volunteering with Bread for Life of America.
